About Katarina Hou
Hello, my name is Katarina (she/her). I graduated with a Master\'s in Environmental Science and Policy in 2021. Born in Myanmar, living in LA with a commitment to environmental and climate justice to achieve healthy and sustainable living for all. Currently, in my role as Senior Program Associate at SUMC, I provide technical assistance to awardees in Clean Mobility Options (CMO) program. I previously served as a CivicSpark Fellow at the Sacramento Air District evaluating the Clean Cars 4 All (CC4A) program to identify improvements and strategize outreach efforts in disadvantaged communities. Have previous experience in climate research and policy focusing on gender and equity. My strengths are climate policy research, community engagement, capacity building, GIS, monitoring and evaluation, and grant writing. In the future, I intend to work in a role that implements equity-centered policy and programs centering on alternative transportation, climate change, and sustainability. In my free time, I like to explore new places, try new restaurants and cafes, and listen to music while journaling or reading.
