About Katiria Nunez
Learning & Development found me before I found it — I kept gravitating toward the part of every job where I got to help people grow.Now I do it intentionally. I build L&D programs, talent infrastructure, and performance systems for organizations that are figuring out how to scale their people strategy alongside their business. I\'ve done it embedded at Google, at Meta, and most recently as the sole L&D leader at a 400-person company where I came in to reset and rebuild the function — and what exists today looks completely different from what I inherited.What I care about: programs that are actually used, managers who feel equipped, and data that tells you whether any of it worked.

When I joined Bay Cities, the L&D function needed a reset. Within 3 months I was already implementing and facilitating and what exists today looks completely different from what I inherited.In just under two years I\'ve stood up the infrastructure that most organizations take a decade to develop — a performance management system, a leadership development program, and an LMS. A few things I\'m proud of:Rebuilt performance management from scratch — goals-based, configured in UKG, with ~90% adoption in the first cycleLaunched the Leadership Pivot, a senior leadership cohort focused on transitioning from managing work to managing leadersDelivered compliance and HR fundamentals training to 40 people leadersDesigned and automated a peer mentoring program in Smartsheet — launch pendingLed the engagement survey rollout and action planning — results to be tracked against September 2026 surveyImplemented an LMS to centralize compliance tracking and support audit readinessWhat I\'ve learned here: you can build something meaningful even when you\'re the only one in the room doing it.
