Maintained and operated a multimillion-dollar high-performance computing visualization facility as part of the user facility for the #1 (TOP500) supercomputer in the world• Led a multidepartment effort to design and procure a full pipeline multimillion-dollar refresh of the visualization facility in a multiphase implementation• Consulted with integrators, vendors, and technicians for the facility refresh, as well as general maintenance• Increased utilization of EVEREST facility by Added up to 150+ public tours per year and an uptime of >95%• Represented ORNL in providing science communication to foreigndignitaries, politicians, and corporate executives• Was the technical director for multiple high-caliber events, facilitating video and photographic coverage for national and local media interviews, as well as oversaw podcasts, recordings, hosted talks, and other production events• Led education and outreach during the 2017 solar eclipse, including presenting in Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility’s Traveling Science Fair trailer, an interactive experience about supercomputers• Provided hundreds of public tours of the EVEREST facility to members of the general public, schools, scholarship and fellowship awardees, interns, and new staff members• Demonstrated supercomputing concepts to students via Tiny Titan, a mini version of one of the lab’s top supercomputers• Led Women in Computing’s Introduce Your Daughter to Code and AI outreach activities, educating young women about computing and coding concepts as well as more advanced concepts such as AI and ML• Regularly purchased, RMA’d, replaced, and updated hardware (GPUs, switches, fiber-optic cable, virtual reality equipment)• Created documentation, usage statistics, and a reservation pipeline for smooth handover and operator transition
