Gene Therapy Scientist | AAV & Non-Viral Vector Specialist | Neurodegenerative and Muscular DiseasesI am a dedicated gene therapy researcher with 7+ years of experience, advancing the development of AAV and nanoparticle-based therapeutics. My expertise spans the development of cell-based assays and preclinical research in murine models of liver, neuromuscular, and neurodegenerative diseases. I have led the design and execution of non-human primate (NHP) safety and toxicology studies, contributing directly to IND-enabling data packages.In my previous role, I had the opportunity to develop novel DNA nanoparticle-based payload delivery modality targeting specific tissues. I supervised a team in designing and executing advanced cell-based assays to gain mechanistic insights into DNA nanoparticle-mediated payload delivery. Successfully completed Proof of Principle (PoP) and Proof of Concept (PoC) studies to evaluate DNA nanoparticle transduction efficiency in murine model. Additionally, I led cross-functional collaboration with external partners to drive timely and impactful project outcomes.I have led collaborative projects with multiple CROs, contributed to high-impact publications, and participated in grant writing and scientific peer review. I’m passionate about translational research and advancing gene therapies from bench to bedside.Technical skills include:Molecular and cellular assay development (ddPCR, qPCR, ELISA, Jess, IHC, Confocal, Flow cytometry).Biochemical and Histological analysis of mouse and NHP tissues.CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing in patient-derived iPSCs.Extensive cell culture and cell-based assay design and development.Strong organizational skill (protocol and study report review, electronic notebook (ELN) maintenance).
