About Kasper Meacham
I am a creative & ambitious young professional with an extensive background in music as a classically trained pianist, producer, and DJ with a strong foundation in creative project management, A&R, and marketing. I am a proactive problem solver who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments, and has a passion for culture & media, the underground music scene in NYC, and advocating for more DE & I initiatives in the industry.As an A&R Director and Production/Marketing Coordinator at YouTooCanWoo, a boutique music house in Brooklyn, I led administrative, creative, and promotional tasks for both the label and the studio. I scouted and develop emerging artists, pitched and oversaw visual branding for artists, and created successful marketing campaigns that increased engagement and recognition. I also managed advertising, film, and sonic branding projects from client inquiry to delivery, ensuring quality and efficiency above all.I have a Bachelor\'s of Arts in Contemporary Music from The New School, where majority of my studies focused on the intersection between race, gender, and music. I completed an Independent Study in Music Journalism taught by notable Music Journalist Lara Pellegrinelli and double-minored in both Japanese Studies and Race/Ethnicity Studies. I have been recognized for my academic excellence with multiple honors and awards including the National Society of Leadership & Success as well as an academic scholarship awarded by the Dean. I have also interned at Invite Only Studios to grow my music industry skillset and learn from industry professionals. I also have a background and interest in fashion, having interned at Nvak Collective, a global music education nonprofit. I am passionate about building community through music and creating new DE & I initiatives in the industry with the hopes of starting a music collective to provide access to knowledge, equipment, and safe creative spaces for individuals looking to enter the industry.
