About Kashyapa V Sharma
I am a Biotechnology Engineering student at RV College of Engineering with a deep passion for sustainability, environmental biotechnology, and scientific research. My work primarily focuses on SDG-6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG-13 (Climate Action), developing innovative solutions for water purification, microplastic filtration, enzymatic treatment of contaminated water, and carbon footprint reduction. I have presented my research on carbon footprint assessment in higher educational institutions at CSITSS – 8th Edition, contributing to sustainable policy-making in academia. My research also includes metagenomic analysis and microbial resistance, exploring biotechnological applications for environmental sustainability. In addition to research, I am a Core Member of Genesis (Biotech Club), Conference Director for Evolvion (Biotechnology Association), and Student Editorial Head of The Biologue. Beyond academics, I hold a Black Belt Dan-1 in Karate, demonstrating discipline, resilience, and strategic thinking. My experience in Model United Nations (MUNs), debating, and scientific communication allows me to articulate complex ideas effectively, and as a polyglot, I thrive in diverse environments and global collaborations. I am always looking for opportunities to apply my expertise in biotechnology, sustainability, and research-driven problem-solving to real-world challenges. Let’s connect and innovate together!
