ABOUT KASHMIRA MURMU
As an Assistant Professor of Philosophy, I am dedicated to cultivating a learning environment where deep thinking, inclusivity, and intellectual curiosity thrive. I teach courses in Ethics, Indian philosophy, and Tribal Philosophy, always striving to make abstract ideas relevant to students’ lives.My publications explore foundational questions about knowledge, causation, and rationality. I actively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address philosophical puzzles that matter to both academics and practitioners.Teaching is central to my work: I design courses that challenge students to think rigorously and engage with difficult questions. I mentor and help prepare students for careers in research, policy, and beyond.I am also passionate about public engagement writing blog posts, contributing to podcasts, and participating in public debates to make philosophy more accessible and relevant.
