Jul 2022 — Present · Wichita Falls, TX, US
I am an Assistant Professor at Kimbell School of Geosciences and the primary investigator of the \"Remote Sensing and Modeling\" Lab at Midwestern State University. As a researcher, I describe myself as a modeler and remote sensing expert with both hydrogeology and terrestrial carbon cycle background. I love coding and am passionate about research. My research focus is threefold exploiting my absolute research experience. First, I focus on solving various challenges in remote sensing data by applying stochastic image analysis and geostatistical methods. Second, I reproduce large-scale hydrogeological properties using numerical modeling and remote sensing investigation. Using image-based modeling, I plan to form a novel framework to generate a larger synthetic cave system which may allow the scientists to investigate various hydrogeological properties in an advanced larger scale. Third, I work on studying vegetation-environmental change feedbacks utilizing a wide range of remote sensing and in-situ data streams to ensure these processes are adequately represented in TBMs coupled to earth system models (ESMs).
