   Skills for Chicagoland\'s Future is a public-private partnership designed to close the workforce skills gap, drive business growth, and return unemployed and underemployed Cook County residents to work.We do this by partnering with local employers committed to hiring the unemployed and underemployed to identify their current and anticipated hiring needs and matching them with qualified talent in the Chicagoland area. We also access and coordinate government funding for customized training, so candidates have the skills necessary to deliver results from their first day on the job.To date, we have helped more than 7,400 unemployed job seekers secure employment through strategic partnerships with over 50 employers in the Chicago area.Our work is supported by the City of Chicago, The Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, and private and corporate foundations. Our nonprofit status means we provide these recruitment, placement and training services at no cost to the job seeker.
