ABOUT KASEY JOHNSON

About Kasey– Kasey devotes her life to improving the patron experience at music events, most notably for patrons with disabilities. Her personal, professional, and academic experience and background gives her a very unique perspective into the music event industry; an accident while attending a music festival in 2013 (a tree’s trunk snapped and crushed her, sending her a foot down into the mud) resulted in over a dozen major surgeries, including the amputation of her lower right leg.Finding her passion in the patron experience and festival risk management, she went on to write her Undergraduate Honors Thesis on the music festival patron’s experience, which then took her to Scotland to get her Masters Degree in International Event & Festival Management. Graduating at the top of her class, she was awarded the Class Medal for her dissertation titled, “Persons with Disabilities with the Music Festival Experience: Leisure Constraints Faced and Effective Negotiation Strategies.”Kasey went on to become a Staffing and Security Manager at some of Colorado’s greatest music venues, such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Mission Ballroom, Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, etc. Kasey continues her work in the event industry to raise awareness and accessibility standards while simultaneously raising the bar for the music event experience.Learn more here: contact:k••••@kjgconsulting.co
