ABOUT KEVIN ASEHAN

Senior Claims Advocate and construction/real estate risk specialist with 9+ years across carrier (State Farm) and brokerage (TrueNorth) environments. I help middle-market contractors and real estate owners navigate complex P&C claims, protect their loss history, and keep their projects moving.Today, I manage a 200+ client portfolio generating $12M+ in annual revenue within TrueNorth’s Risk & Workforce Solutions group, with a focus on workers’ compensation, general liability, auto, construction defect, builder’s risk, and premises liability. About two-thirds of my book is nationwide construction and one-third is Colorado-based real estate, giving me a deep view of risk across jobsites, properties, and jurisdictions.I’m often brought in when stakes are high: catastrophic WC claims, multi-party construction disputes, or high-dollar premises losses. I coordinate with carriers, defense counsel, risk managers, CFOs, and owners to align reserves with true exposure, drive strategy (negotiation, mediation, settlement), and protect clients’ experience mods and insurability.Recent work includes helping Denver International Airport design and launch its first airside drive excess auto liability program. I co-drafted the winning RFP response, helped design claims workflows, and identified a critical tarmac/airside exclusion that led us to pivot carriers and avoid a major coverage gap. Since launch, the program has scaled to 155+ active vehicles over 46 unique contractors, delivering an estimated $1.6M in premium savings for participating contractors and $500K+ in revenue for our firm, with runway to expand further.I’m equally invested in people and process. I mentor new Claims Advocates and a rotating pipeline of interns, built a 2025 “Claims Toolkit” to accelerate onboarding, and lead referrals to strategic partners (RTW vendors, safety consultants, subrogation, mitigation), helping our department exceed 110% of its revenue goal. Earlier in my career at State Farm, I handled complex home/commercial property claims and helped design a mentoring program that cut new adjuster ramp-up time nearly in half. Keywords & focus areas: construction risk, business insurance, complex claims, workers’ compensation, auto liability, general liability, builder’s risk, construction defect, real estate portfolios, airport/airside risk, program design, client advocacy, vendor partnerships, return-to-work, loss control, risk management.Open to connecting with brokers, airports, risk leaders, and partners who are building smarter construction and infrastructure risk programs.
