ABOUT KARYN CLARK

People are the most important aspect of a company’s success. When training, it is very important to understand that we are individuals before we are business individuals. A lot of people have anxiety and fear about learning a new application or business process and this needs to be acknowledged. It is important to make sure the information is presented in a way that people see how it is relevant to their jobs. How will this make me more competent and confidant in my role? That is the question I always make a point of answering during my training to make people feel comfortable and reassured. One of the most exciting things for me is to see that “A-HA” moment when people have a break through in learning. In my sessions, I help people find those moments and take hold of the opportunities they produce. I have over 20 years experience training, facilitating workshops, on-boarding new employees and leading orientation sessions. I have worked with all departments within organizations and realize that the approach to training differs depending on your audience: “Do I talk tech to the techies or do I need to translate the tech to the non techies”. What method of training will work best? What materials will be the most effective?Working with all these different departments has also made me a ‘jack of all trades’ in terms of the applications I am able to train on each and every day. Another benefit of working within this diversity is that I usually discover or learn something new as well on a daily basis!I have been described as having a ‘can-do-attitude’ and bias to action.I believe each of us is a leader in our own life both at home and at work. I love to support people to think bigger than the partial ideas they\'ve been taught about their lives. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime.
