Act as a Geotech consultant inspector on construction sites, actively communicate and collaborate with contractors, site supervisors, city and municipal inspectors, and the coordinator of a design engineering consulting firm’s inspector to ensure compliance with the geotechnical approvable practice, all applicable standards and specifications while maintaining expected quality control and assurance.• Perform compaction testing using a portable Nuclear Gauge for soil, granular materials, and asphalt.• Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of geotechnical data and testing procedures.• Conduct day-to-day on-site soil inspection and test using a nuclear gauge (Engineering fill/backfill, Water, Sanitary, Storm mains, and services) • Collect soil, granular, and asphalt samples for laboratory testing in accordance with procedure.• Performing proctor tests, compaction, and moisture content tests, and providing recommendations and comments on the materials.• Inspect sites across the GTA and surrounding municipalities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. • Maintain testing materials and equipment in good condition and calibration.• Prepare daily field inspection reports and submit them to clients and the office.
