Drives Continuous Improvement through the evaluation of new technologies, implementation of process changes, and the development of systems and standards to improve safety, quality, production and operating cost. Provide technical support and assistance to operations and to spearhead all process activities for a specific asset. Create dashboards for management to monitor KPIs and cost savings initiatives. Leads the technical process for assigned asset(s) to solve equipment and process related problems. Lead trials from planning to execution, data analysis, reporting and communication of results to all stakeholders. Works with all departments and customers to design solutions that improve production efficiency, ergonomics, safety and maintenance related issues. Reviews, co-ordinates and implements all customer approved engineering changes Provide troubleshooting assistance to the Machine Managers and Machine Operators. Participates in the development of operations team members and junior engineers. Lead role in resolving machining related concerns. Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices Develop and maintain SOPs which focus on cost savings and efficiency Collect downtime information, determine root cause, and provide suggestions for improvement Identify equipment requirements to improve productivity and meet capacity increases as necessary Lead Capital Investment initiatives related to processing equipment
