I am an IRSSE officer and Chartered Engineer (CEng) involved in delivering safety-critical railway signalling upgrades within live brownfield operational environments.My experience includes Multi-Section Digital Axle Counter and Electronic Interlocking integrations across multiple automatic sections within a defined divisional modernisation programme monitored at executive level. My responsibilities have included design scrutiny, interface approval, commissioning sequencing, safety certification, and integration of cost forecasting with milestone-based execution to support uninterrupted delivery.I operate within established governance and assurance frameworks, applying risk-based judgement to commissioning and acceptance decisions while balancing safety, availability, maintainability, cost, and delivery risk.My focus is on understanding how technical, organisational, and supplier interfaces interact during modernisation, and how structured validation and lifecycle governance reduce systemic risk during transition.
