Industree is a social enterprise that empowers rural women by engaging them in the production of textile garments and sustainable home décor products, catering to both national and international brands.I initially joined Industree to support the textile business and later took on additional responsibilities for sustainable home décor products, including storage solutions, baskets, lampshades, placemats, runners, and festive collections.Key responsibilities included:Understanding buyer calendars and purchasing patterns to develop market-relevant designs aligned with current trends, while ensuring products are production-friendly and competitive.Visiting buyers to present trend-forward collections, supported by market research and analysis.Ensuring all products met buyer-specific testing and quality standards.Conducting factory evaluations in line with buyer compliance and operational requirements.Overseeing the entire order process: from price negotiation, order confirmation, and sample approvals, to supplier capacity and capability assessment, supplier finalization, and raw material sourcing.Managing pre-production meetings, coordinating with the quality control team, tracking the Time and Action (TnA) plan, and facilitating smooth communication between buyers and suppliers.Leading supplier review meetings to maintain quality, compliance, and performance goals.I worked closely with reputed buyers such as IKEA, H&M, Target, Rusta, Caravane, Crocodile, Fabindia, and Synergy, handling both textile and hard goods under the sustainable product segment.Also, I represented Industree at various international exhibitions and trade fairs, showcasing new designs and innovations.We are currently in advanced discussions with international brands such as Walmart, Muji, and Migros, and are optimistic about onboarding them in the second quarter. In preparation, our factory premises are being upgraded to meet the necessary compliance and operational standards.
