Sheet Metal Enclosure Design | Creo | GD & T | Windchill PLM• Design low-voltage sheet metal enclosures rated for 100A, compliant with IEC 61439 standards.• Model 4 sheet metal references and plastic components using Creo; create 3D CAD and 2D drawings with GD & T for manufacturability.• Set up a production line with manufacturers, provide design feedback, and implement changes to improve throughput.• Consolidate sheet metal brackets to reduce part count and enhance Design for Assembly (DFA).• Replace adhesive labels with screen printing, cutting labelling costs by ~30%.• Minimize fasteners to streamline assembly and reduce inventory.• Use quantitative methods during assembly to verify components against PBOM, ensuring traceability.• Generate and validate PBOMs in Windchill PLM, aligned with engineering BOMs for smooth production handoff.• Monitor and optimize the assembly line, resolving bottlenecks and improving efficiency by ~20%.• Improve product features for manufacturability and support validation with the testing team.• Coordinate with manufacturing to reduce costs and standardize processes.• Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA reviews, gaining basic knowledge of failure mode analysis in design and production.
