   Designed and maintained the backend for AvalonBay’s parking platform using Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript, where the core responsibility was to translate Wayleadr-driven parking actions into reliable backend workflows for reservation creation, inventory assignment, pricing evaluation, conversion, cancellation, and charge readiness, with critical flows executed through API Gateway → Lambda pipelines to ensure stateless scalability. • Structured the service layer in Express.js around domain-specific modules such as reservation orchestration, inventory mapping, pricing evaluation, tenant eligibility, and conversion handling, while integrating SNS-based event publishing to emit parking lifecycle events (allocation, conversion, cancellation) for downstream async processing. • Used TypeScript aggressively across request contracts, service interfaces, utility layers, and database result typing so that multi-step parking workflows had compile-time guarantees, while ensuring all Lambda-based handlers adhered to strict typing for payload validation and event-driven execution paths. • Built and maintained REST endpoints exposed through AWS API Gateway, where routing was split between synchronous parking operations and asynchronous follow-up flows, with SQS queues used to decouple non-blocking operations such as audit logging, reconciliation, and retry handling. • Implemented business logic in AWS Lambda for serverless execution of backend workflows, isolating parking operations into independently deployable units, and orchestrated complex multi-step flows (such as conversion and reconciliation) using AWS Step Functions to ensure consistent execution and rollback handling. • Used Lambda for parking state transition processing, controlled data validation, and follow-up operational tasks, while leveraging SQS retry queues and DLQs to safely reprocess failed operations without data loss or duplication.
