At PPG Group, I led the development of an embedded system that transformed how critical automotive plant equipment is monitored. My focus was to design a real-time health tracking solution that could prevent unexpected failures and downtime. Using STM32 microcontrollers and cloud connectivity via AWS IoT, I implemented firmware to collect, process, and transmit sensor data remotely.This system reduced manual inspections by over 40% and enabled predictive maintenance that cut unplanned downtime by 25%. I used SPI, I2C, and CAN protocols for sensor interfacing and ensured robust data transfer over secure channels. Debugging and optimization using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers helped us maintain system uptime and reliability.This project not only boosted operational efficiency but also demonstrated how cloud-integrated embedded systems can drive innovation in manufacturing.
