ABOUT KARRI ANN FRERICHS
Karri has worked in the fashion industry (both entrepreneurially and for major corporations like Zara and Bebe) since 2005 in all sectors including retail management, wholesale distribution, apparel manufacturing, product development and e-commerce. She has also been a university professor of the Business of Fashion since 2010 for City College San Francisco, Academy of Art University and now Woodbury University in Burbank, CA.Using both her breadth of experience and disgruntlement for the massive problems caused by the fashion industry (including pollution, waste, over-consumption and labor exploitation), she founded Circular Fashion LA in 2019 to develop more circular solutions for our wardrobing needs.Karri is an Ellen MacArthur Foundation Circular Economy Pioneer, as well as the volunteer organizer of the Circular Economy Club Los Angeles Chapter - a multi-industrial group of changemakers and business owners working to advance the Circular Economy in Los Angeles and beyond.
