About Karmen Deaton
I have utilized the opportunities presented at Purdue University to develop my civil engineering knowledge base, to interact and communicate with others, to lead teams and organizations towards their goals, and to make myself a more well-rounded individual. I began my career working for Kimley-Horn in Houston, Texas on K-12 projects, which ignited my passion for community facing projects that have a direct benefit to those who live, work, and play there. Since relocating back home to Indiana in January 2022, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide array of development services projects (mixed-use, multi-family, healthcare, industrial, entertainment, commercial, etc.) and have developed my technical skills and knowledge of local codes and permitting requirements. I would love to connect and grab coffee/lunch to discuss my passion for education sector projects as I begin to pursue them here locally to build off my K-12 background and my now 4+ years of experience in the local Indianapolis market.
