Regional Safety Manager at Rivian, supporting 4 Commercial business units on the East Coast and helping team members Adventure Safely Forever. Scope includes over 40 locations regionally including service centers, retail spaces, remanufacturing, and warehousing. In this role I span responsibilities from launching new locations (including training), to incident investigation, continual improvement processes, new equipment installation, to auditing. As a Red Cross certified instructor, my greatest passion in this role is training team members on this life-saving skill; I also value providing education and coaching to the field to support their safe operations. In my previous role as Safety Supervisor at Tenneco, a Fortune 200 company at the time of my employment, I managed safety at 2 R&D locations with as-needed second-party auditing support at multiple plants. In addition to my primary role of ensuring permit renewals, creating and maintaining safety programs, and ensuring compliance with the facilities, I spearheaded the COVID-19 pandemic efforts and supported on various safety engineering projects. My greatest accomplishment in my tenure at Tenneco was designing an engine test cell to run radioactive materials testing, including securing a license from the National Regulatory Commission. I hold a Master of Science in Safety Management, grad. year 2023. Additionally, I graduated with Summa Cum Laude designation and Departmental Honors from Oakland University in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Safety. I am certified as a Graduate Safety Practitioner, with previous certifications as a ANSI B11 Licensed Machinery Safety Specialist, Radiation Safety Officer, and Class A/B Underground Storage Operator. My regulatory strengths lie in OSHA General Industry, RCRA, and EPA law. I am a Board Member on the Michigan Safety Conference, Vice President for the American Society of Safety Professionals Greater Detroit Chapter, and professional representative on the Oakland University Environmental, Health and Safety Industry Advisory Board.
