ABOUT KARL SMITH

With more than 30 years’ experience in business development, sales, and commercial management, I’ve won and managed multi-million-pound contracts and projects, spanning the public and private sector, B2B and B2C, in numerous industries.My biggest strengths are approachability and adaptability. I’ve succeeded in new industries because I bring both a fresh perspective and an ability to build strong relationships. With me, there’s no comfort zone or joy for the status quo. I\'m a trailblazer who thrives on establishing long-lasting, meaningful business relationships and getting the job done properly. I relish the strategic elements of finding new methods to drive a business forward, and whilst my industry experience is varied, there has always been a common denominator – results. These are driven by a genuine passion for what I do.With a unique mix of B2B and operational management experience, I have numerous transferable skills gained from a diverse range of industries including construction, education, manufacturing, retail and service. I\'ve collaborated successfully with companies (at all levels of the supply chain from tier one to tier three) and have additional experience in large, complex, matrix organisations across multiple sites with multiple products, serving a diverse group of customers and routes to market successfully.
