Bio: Mr. Dorshimer is President and CEO of the Lansing Economic Development Corporation. As President and CEO of the Lansing Economic Development Corporation, he directs economic development efforts to improve the Lansing community by fostering strategic, sustainable, and equitable economic growth. Before becoming the President and CEO of the Lansing EDC, Mr. Dorshimer was the Director of Economic Development for the Lansing Economic Area Partnership, a regional economic development organization. He is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) with strong Business Expansion/Attraction, Real Estate/Brownfield Redevelopment, and Place-Based project skills. Mr. Dorshimer strives to make Lansing a great place by helping businesses, creating and retaining jobs, assisting with redeveloping properties, and forging public/private partnerships. He has also published articles about his economic development projects and experiences in the International Economic Development Council\'s - Economic Development Journal.
