About Karla Fernandez
Hello! My name is Karla Fernandez and I am a fourth year accounting student at Florida International University. I am a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic and passion for business. Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I’ve been recognized for being detail-oriented, reliable, and driven to achieve results.This past summer, I interned for the Walt Disney Company where I supported FOS— Engineering Services Finance. This 12 week program gave me exposure to corporate finance, various segments within the Walt Disney Company, and networking opportunities. As part of my experience, I presented my intern project to finance leadership, providing a summary and analysis of engineering services spend across the Walt Disney World Resorts. Currently, I am interning at Kaufman Rossin in the Entrepreneurial Services department, where I am gaining hands-on experience in both tax and accounting. My responsibilities include handling the accounting and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
