ABOUT KARLA AMANDA BROWN
Karla Amanda Brown, LMFT, is the Founder & CEO of Soul Centric Counseling Center as well as Soul Centric Collective, a platform dedicated to increasing access to and belonging for all in group psychotherapy spaces. As an African American, Silicon Valley CEO, Karla leads with a unifying philosophy of diversity, equity and inclusion along with overall mindfulness and respect to empower and enhance the quality of life for all clinicians and those who seek services.Headquartered in the heart of technological innovation and disruption, as well as one of the world’s largest economies, the Silicon Valley region is also filled with systemic occurrences of micro, mezzo- and macroaggressions, racism and rampant inequity, which has created a profound generational wealth gap. Under Karla’s leadership, Soul Centric Counseling works with patients to find or create supportive ecosystems oriented towards safety, liberation, psychological and financial wealth. Karla is also committed to creating a legacy that will provide opportunities for vastly underrepresented BIPOC community members to become esteemed psychotherapists, business owners and community leaders through mentoring, training and workforce development.
