Across 20 years in education policy, I have established a reputation as a policy director, tireless disability advocate, and nonprofit leader who is driven by challenge and undeterred by obstacles. My expertise encompasses directing the operation and management of multimillion-dollar budgets and assets in the private and public sector, including the $1B+ state education budget. These high-level positions have enabled me to directly influence public policy by developing key relationships with leaders and policymakers in business and government roles. My career is supported by a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA). Results-oriented and trusted advisor in legislative, executive and non-profit leadership roles. Prolific author of blogs, policy briefs and research papers. Provided strategic direction to high-level groups, including State Boards of Education and elected legislative bodies nationwide. Developed agendas and implementation strategies for numerous policies and programs from preschool through postsecondary education. Developed and executed strategic initiatives requiring extensive research, community outreach and statewide support. Served as the spokesperson for the highest state-elected leaders to communicate their vision and garner community support. Functioned as liaison and state representative with organizations nationwide. I passionately fight for the educational interests and needs of all students from preschool through postsecondary. As a mother of a child with a disability, I\'ve channeled my experience and opportunities to passionately advocate for students with disabilities.
