As a Business Manager in Training, I support day-to-day branch operations while gaining hands-on experience in logistics, material sales, project management, and leadership. I assist in coordinating schedules, tracking inventory, and working cross-functionally with sales, dispatch, and yard teams.My primary focus is supporting the Multi-Family Department, where I help identify bid opportunities, coordinate material delivery, and assist in building new business relationships with general contractors and developers. I research construction projects in key markets including Lubbock, Amarillo, Hobbs, and Ruidoso to support expansion and ensure our team is positioned for upcoming bids.I participate in job site visits and customer meetings to better understand project requirements and contribute to operational planning. Additionally, I support outreach to regional GCs and subcontractors and help manage the pipeline of potential framing and material jobs.This role allows me to translate my military leadership experience into business operations by contributing to process improvements, analyzing store performance metrics, and presenting progress reports to senior leaders. I also take part in professional development focused on P&L management, safety standards, and customer service—preparing me for a potential full-time leadership role post-transition.
