ABOUT KARL MORRISON
I have been working as a Senior Advisor at Planet Women since February 2021, a global initiative that empowers women to lead the transition to an inclusive, low-carbon and resilient future. With over 20 years of international experience in environment and development, I am passionate about designing, managing, and monitoring programs that promote gender equality, climate change adaptation, and sustainable livelihoods in sub-Saharan Africa and beyond.In addition to my role at Planet Women, I am also a Gender Equality Consultant at Green Climate Fund, where I provide technical support to the implementation of the Fund\'s Gender Policy. I have specific skills and experience in systems approaches to strategy development, gender mainstreaming, community engagement, capacity building, and natural resource management. I hold a Master of Development Economics from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Queen\'s University.
