Karl is an enthusiastic Consultant Ecologist and Environmental Educator with 31 years experience working in the environmental sector and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Biology. Strong consulting professional with 14 years consultancy experience undertaking Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, National Vegetation Classification surveys, ornithological surveys and protected species surveys. In addition to consultancy Karl is also engaged in ecological research for Wild Gaia, an innovative and proactive conservation organisation which is active across Ireland; current projects include the urban ecology of Kingfishers and the ecology of rare and threatened Arctic-alpine plant species.
