About Karl Granstrom
Research interests: Bayesian estimation, multiple object tracking and machine learning. I enjoy both theoretical algorithm development, as well as applied practical work using real world sensor data.Previous research projects: main focus on multiple target tracking, especially for extended objects, using random set methods. The developed algorithms have successfully been applied to data from laser scanners, cameras, and radars. A loop detection method for the Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (slam) problem was developed for robots equipped with laser scanners.
