Hello! I’m Karin - a non-profit professional committed to advocating for a clean energy-based economy for a sustainable future. I support organizations leverage policy and market-driven solutions to connect global communities with clean energy, fostering more equitable communities I like to think of diplomacy and policy as a bridge for communities to achieve a more sustainable future! Here\'s a quick rundown of my journey- I grew up with friends from all over the world, which sparked my interest in languages and their ability to bridge different societies together- My interests gradually intersected with sustainable economic development as climate change and environmental issues continue to challenge our societies- I moved to the Bay Area seeking to connect with a diverse community, continue my studies in international relations, and pursue a career in non-profit- I graduated from college with my bachelor’s and worked at various non-profits in the Bay Area and Washington DC - I went back to school for my master\'s in IR + focused on energy policy and economic development in my studiesNow, I’m an advocate for clean energy and sustainable development.Here are some of my key accomplishments: I have 4 years of experience in non-profit management in clean energy, working at organizations such as WRI, C2ES, and S2 Strategies Managed 5+ project proposals for the National Programming Agency (NPA), promoting international visits for delegates and leaders (from 8+ countries) to the Bay Area for educational purposes Led 5+ webinars on advocating for social justice issues during the pandemic, which resulted in 10+ new professional partnerships with Olive Tree Gifts Non-Profit Facilitated 6+ public diplomacy meetings, fostering meaningful connections between Community-Based Members, international delegates, and the U.S. Department of StateOutside of work, I love learning languages (I’ve been learning Korean for a while!), drawing, and jogging If you’re a professional passionate about sustainability, energy policy, or global affairs, I’d love to connect!
