ABOUT KARINA I. GONZALEZ

I am currently seeking new opportunities in public health, program evaluation, emergency preparedness, data analysis, or global health research. I’m open to various roles based in Atlanta, GA, or remote.I recently completed my fellowship with the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where I supported the Center for Forecasting and Outbreak Analytics (CFA). In this role, I focused on monitoring the performance of CFA’s web products, leveraging data to inform decision-making, and collaborating across teams to advance national public health goals.Over the past four years, I’ve contributed to a range of public health initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in qualitative research, scientific communication, project management, data visualization, website development, literature reviews, abstract writing, and program marketing. My work reflects a strong commitment to health equity, infectious disease prevention, and translating complex information into actionable insights.I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Global Health with a concentration in Infectious Disease and a Certificate in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies, as well as a Bachelor of Science and Arts (BSA) in Human Development and Family Sciences with a Minor in Business.
