Within the “Covid Era” many changes took place in not only hospitality (my background), but also in my new found career. Having to find new work, I took a chance and was 1 of 10 females chosen out of approximately 300 applicants to participate in a new program called “Employment Express Program”, in which Kidco Construction sponsored. Through this program I was introduced to heavy equipment and was given the opportunity to start my career in construction. I further expanded my learning by obtaining work in the Alberta Oilsands in November 2021 - and I haven’t looked back since! About my hospitality background: I graduated from SAIT Polytechnic with a diploma in Hospitality Management. I have had many opportunities thus far in the hospitality industry, including- working the V.I.P Corporate Box at the 2009 Melbourne\'s Formula 1 Grand Prix - World\'s Longest Lunch, Warrandyte, Victoria, Australia (Melbourne\'s Food & Wine Festival - 2009)- Being part of an amazing events team and working for an amazing company at Hotel Arts, I\'ve learned many things from my employment there and will take it with me on my new ventures Specialties- ProServe Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) Calgary, Alberta - Certificate - Resposible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Victoria, Australia - Certificate - Safe food handling Certification - Canada and Australia - Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
