About Karina Nay
In high school I attended southern Maine community college and got my basic emt license. At that time I also was enrolled at bath regional vocational center in their nursing program to get my cna and crma. After I finished high school I took my intermediate emt class at brunswick fire through southern Maine ems. During the same period of time I was also enrolled in tri-county\'s fire academy for firefighter one and two. I received my basic fire training at west bath fire where I had started as a junior during my junior year of high school and been there 8 years now. I did cna work for 5 years before I decided to get my pharmacy technician license. I worked as a pharmacy technician for a few years. I left in March of 2015 and gave birth to my beautiful son. In August of 2015 I decided to go back to school at southern Maine community college and graduated in 2018 with an associates in fire science. In 2007 I received emt of the year award and got the second chance award for resuscitating a cardiac arrest patient. In 2010 I received emt of the year again. In 2013 I got emt of the year again and also received an award along with other members of the Fd for responding to a fire call for a severely burnt male patient who is still alive today. I feel that working for the Fd has made me a better person and has been so fulfilling. It is rewarding to be able to help so many people. I just finished my third associates degree in liberal studies this month. I have an associates in fire science and health sciences.
