Karin possesses over a decade of experience working in the fields of nonprofit management and conflict resolution. She has worked in the field of human rights advocacy and project management for five years and across five continents. Though her regional focus has largely been on Latin America, including her in-field experience in Ecuador, El Salvador and Peru, she has also worked in South/East Asia and East Africa. She has extensive inter-cultural communication skills, teaching, training, and facilitation experience. She is fluent in English, commands a professional level of Spanish and at conversational level of Italian. Her strengths are in education, graduate student mentorship, project management, gender mainstreaming, and conflict resolution. She is currently a doctorate student in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at The Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution (formerly the School for Conflict and Analysis (S-CAR)), George Mason University.
