I will be working on issues related to girls’ and young women’s mobility and migration to urban settings, their encounters with urban informal economies in sub-Saharan Africa and how they navigate gender barriers in pursuit of their aspirations. In the context of an increasingly young and urban continent, I will be looking at what these experiences mean for policy makers and programmes.
