ABOUT KARIE YOUNGDAHL

As Head of Global Communications at IAVI, I craft our global communications strategy and work with our global team to implement strategic communication plans and campaigns that advance the IAVI\'s mission. IAVI is a nonprofit biotech dedicated to discovering and developing safe, effective, and accessible vaccines and antibodies for HIV, tuberculosis, and emerging infectious diseases.I have a strong background and expertise in vaccines, infectious diseases, and global public health. I advise the leadership team on thought leadership, crisis response, and business communications. I lead a team of talented and passionate professionals who work with internal and external stakeholders, media, and partners to communicate the impact and value of IAVI\'s research and innovation. I oversee the production and dissemination of high-quality and evidence-based content across digital and print platforms, including web, social media, newsletters, reports, and publications. I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the global health community and to ensure that scientific innovation is affordable and accessible to people all over the world.
