What started as a part-time job has turned into a 30+ year career with the same company and I\'ve loved (almost) all of them. I have never shied away from learning new things or recognizing opportunity when it knocks. Back when I started out in the working world, I picked one path, but as it turned out I was better off going a different direction. Once I was bitten by the data bug, I knew I found my place in the world (or company as it were).A lot of my skills I learned along the way have been self-taught after a lot of trial and error, and practice.(We didn\'t even use computers when I first started my career). As new technology kept emerging over the years, Google became my best friend. A lot of what I\'ve learned has been dictated to me due to the resources and technology available in my company, but the learning never stops.Throughout my tenure I\'ve been both a manager and individual contributor and I have found that being an individual contributor is a much better fit. I enjoy collaborating with others, but I also like digging in and solving problems on my own. I take pride in my work and get satisfaction from handing off a finely polished process or report.
