    Kari Nichols began with Mead & Hunt in 2004 as a Senior Project Engineer and quickly moved up, accepting more responsibility with each promotion. She is an integral member and leading force in one of the nation\'s most notable water resources engineering firms. Mead & Hunt is ranked as one of the top 150 consulting firms in the country and takes pride in being named among the top 25 best civil engineering firms to work for in the country by CE News. The firm has been a leader in water resources engineering since 1900. The exemplary culture built on strong, people-first values sets Mead & Hunt apart in the industry. In 2013 Kari became the Water Resources Manager for Oregon and Washington for Mead & Hunt. Her team of water resources professionals provide responsive quality service in the areas of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, flood risk reduction, natural channel design and green infrastructure. Kari was promoted to Project Manager in 2006. In this role she planned, designed and directed water resources engineering projects. She also led and collaborated with a team of design professionals. As a project engineer working on increasingly complex projects, Kari prepared studies, reports, plans, specifications, schedules, estimates and permits. Her project management included budgeting, scheduling and work plan development for multiple projects simultaneously. In addition to planning and design of water projects, Kari and her team prepare construction contract documents, provide bid administration and construction oversight.
