Started Papertech in 1992 with the objective to deliver unique papermaking technology to papermills in North America. By finding new, and innovative Finnish papermaking optimization technology and with my knowledge of the North American paper industry, I was able to rapidly penetrate the market with products such as Tapio Paper Machine Analyzer, RollTest, ACA Viscometer, Vision Systems Cameras, etc. In 1996 we began representing Hildeco (Finland) with their Hilcont camera system. With the sale of many Hilcont systems, Honeywell became interested in this technology and purchased Hildeco in 1998. In 1998 we launched our own WebVision camera system based on a new open, user friendly, architecture. Our WebVision was rapidly accepted in the marketplace and our rapid growth began. Today Papertech’s innovative WebVision and WebInspector, combined into a single unified TotalVision platform, is providing exceptional results and a rapid payback to papermakers around the world. Over 700 systems have now been sold into 35 countries making us the largest event capturing camera system supplier in the industry. Our application customized solutions ensure that each installation’s performance will be maximized on various paper, board, tissue etc. products, or on any downstream converting processes where many systems are now applied to ensure final production efficiency is optimized. Our TotalVision solutions now offer high definition HD1080p image quality, wet-end WebInspector, IR thermal moisture troubleshooting, truly effective LED lighting, various advanced software tools such DebrisFilter, EdgeDetect, and a host of other improvements with our EverClean and WebView housings, all adding up to better performance, increased reliability and most importantly better papermaking process efficiency and product quality.
