With over 12 years of experience in accessibility, Karen is a Director, Accessibility Principal at TIAA, where she leads and contributes to the planning, development, and implementation of accessibility programs and initiatives. She is a WCAG 2.1 expert and proficient using vital tools and techniques to ensure compliance with the web content accessibility guidelines and Section 508 standards.As part of the Accessibility and Inclusion team, she collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to provide consultation on accessibility policy and governance integration, strategic planning, program maturity, educational awareness development, accessibility best practices, identify barriers and communicate remediation techniques. She is passionate about creating a more inclusive and accessible culture for people with disabilities and enhancing the usability experience for all customers.Self-motivated, results-oriented and passion-driven to equip, develop and propel individuals to their full potential through authorship, audible platform, technical and professional development. As a 3rd time author, Karen has a unique way of tapping into the heart of men and women by exploring and providing candid solutions to everyday situations.
