Karen Wagaman has served as Vice President of Downtown Development with the Rogers Lowell Chamber since 2016. Her work allows her to focus on economic development, community revitalization and attracting businesses and residents to Downtown Rogers. As Wagaman works with real estate developers, business owners, community organizations and individuals who have businesses or hobbies that fall under the category of “the creative economy.” This facet is an important in building an appealing quality of life that people are seeking when they decide where they want to work, live and play. With a penchant for connecting people, she convenes individuals who have common goals and interests with the intent of developing new alliances and business opportunities. She also works to introduce non-profit organizations, school students and businesses to Downtown Rogers with the goal of bringing new programs and additional business locations to the core community. Wagaman is active in the Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers and serves on a variety of steering committees and focus groups that promote economic development and quality of life in NW Arkansas. She is a co-founder and administrator of the monthly Downtown Rogers Art on the Bricks Art Walk and co-founder and board member of the Rogers Experimental House. She is an active promoter of the creative economy in our region, a member of Artists of Northwest Arkansas.
