About Karen Noonan
Currently based in the Pacific Northwest, I am a global government affairs executive with 25 years of leadership experience in creating transformational advocacy and lobbying strategies. My passion is propelling organizations to high-profile thought leadership and a front seat at the policymaking table. My expertise includes both global regulatory policy and also US state-level legislative and regulatory policy across the 50 states. In my current role, I cultivate strong relationships with global regulators and government policymakers by establishing the industry trade association ACRO as a trusted, credible, and expert resource to inform and positively shape regulatory policy across diverse regulatory regimes – including both clinical research authorities and cross-sector, multi-industry data protection and privacy regulators. I have especially deep expertise in legislative and regulatory policy in the US, the European Union, and the United Kingdom – meeting with regulatory authorities in Brussels, Amsterdam, and London. Through past leadership roles earlier in my career, I also possess expertise in US state-level legislative and regulatory policy – where I have designed and executed multi-state analysis and campaign strategies across the US. My state level experience in designing winning persuasion campaigns includes multi-state legislative and regulatory lobbying strategy (for a national professional society) and also multi-state electoral strategy (for a national electoral campaign committee).
