   Monitor and respond to alarms/events for mission-critical OTN/optical transport and IP/Ethernet services; open/track incidents and drive circuit/equipment restoration to clear service-impacting conditions-Perform Tier 1 triage and fault isolation across Ciena / Infinera optical platforms and Juniper / Cisco routing/switching; identify scope, probable cause, and next action (remote fix vs escalation)-Support circuits T1–100Gb (Ethernet & IP): assist with turn-ups, run required checks, and validate service status after changes, maintenance, and restorations- Coordinate with Federal customers during outages and scheduled maintenance; provide accurate, time-stamped updates (impact, actions taken, ETA/next update) and follow customer communication protocols- Interface with internal field/engineering teams and external providers/vendors to coordinate dispatches, escalations, and end-to-end restoration
