ABOUT KAREN JOSSEL
Past accomplishments in design were the websites for The WB Network affiliates. Karen was the creative force and co-developer in creating TheWBpass.com. She has received the gold and silver Promax award for this site. Karen then created TheWBpress.com to enable press access to materials for the WB shows. Work for the WB included on-air promos, sales presentations and billboards. Karen began her career as a fine artist. Her “Works on Money” has shown at many galleries, The Federal Reserve in Washington D.C. and the Arco Gallery in L.A. From -2002, her work traveled in a show which included artworks by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, amongst other art luminaries. “Good Morning America” featured a “People in the News” spot on her work at the Federal Reserve and her art has been reviewed in the Washington Post and various other publications. Her work is found in corporate and private collections: Security Pacific, ARCO, Betty Asher and Wayne Warga. Her art can be found in issues of High Performance and the LAICA Journal. Karen started her graphic design career working for various news organizations in Los Angeles: KABC, KCAL, KTTV, KTLA, and KCBS. She’s done design for Telepictures, Fox Family and ABC’s Video Design Group. She was hired as an expert instructor for Weynand Training, working with Quantel Paintbox, Harry and Hal. Today she continues to train people in Photoshop and design. Her work branched out from on air promo, opens, PSA’s, title treatments to working with UPC Digital Media Centre in The Netherlands creating Brochure,Trade Show art, and helped to train staff in Quantel Hal and Mac. Her print design is on CD covers for Cunningham Escott Dipene’s voiceover artists and Radioactive Design. Karen has created promotional pieces and J-cards for various Pacifica Radio Stations, KPFK and the San Francisco affiliate. Karen helped create an identity project for City Concierge,\"Roadside Heritage\", won the 2008 Interpretive Media Competition Award. Specialties: Instructor in Photoshop (sometimes Illustrator and After Effects) and seeking teaching jobs in Design and Typography.
