Lead the department charged with strategically and tactically planning, and implementing the planning, programming, design, construction, commissioning and activation of the facilities necessary for the institution to achieve its mission. Currently the master facilities framework has established a $10B capital program over the next ten years. • Critical responsibilities include- the development and execution of the facilities long-term capital plan, analyzing space utilization throughout the institution, and making recommendations regarding the establishment and application of standardized space allocation criteria that are consistent with the mission and strategic goals of the institution- recommending, establishing and applying standards for the design and furnishing of space; providing program and project management services and administering, on a day-to-day basis, contracts for the design, construction and renovation of facilities; • Currently the organization has launched into a $10 billion over 10 years capital program including expansions in clinical, laboratories, hotels and the creation of a centralized support center. Prior to the launch of the capital program, the department actively managed 450 projects which include new construction, renovations, aesthetic renewals, and maintenance work. Today, we have 30 signature projects actively underway at a value of $4 billion in addition to the routine work (+/-400 projects.) • Oversees and directs the centralized architectural, design and project management services team that supports all the Facilities Management division. With over 150 staff members, executing work that ranges from to $3 billion+, the team includes over 65 project managers, 27 planners, 12 interior designers, project activation an in-house production team, campus architecture, project controls, and construction contract expertise.
