ABOUT KAREN FRIETT
After training as a nurse at Guys Hospital in London Karen worked within the Health service developing special interest in gerontology and palliative care until joining the Lions Hospice in Gravesend. During her 10 years at the Hospice Karen worked in many roles including education facilitator, Income generation Manager and ultimately acting Chief Executive. During this period Karen also gained her Masters level management qualification and was a visiting lecturer at the University of Greenwich. Outside of the working world Karen is a talented musician and is secretary of the Edward Alderton Theatre. Since joining the Lymphoedema Support Network Karen has seen the charity grow from the fantastic foundations laid by the team into an internationally recognised, award winning charity able to influence helath policy and the health experience of the individual.
