I provide direct student support to ESL and bilingual students who have been in the US for less than 1 year. The instruction is given in English for ESL and/or Spanish for bilingual advanced algebra and general instruction. I work with the students in small group or one-on-one within the classroom. I also collaborate with the principal instructors to develop effective whole group practices, small group interventions, and individualized learning activities. In the absence of the principal teacher, I will lead the class instruction following their lesson plans.
