ABOUT KAREN WINTER

Chief Information Officer for LinkIt, a leader in the field of web-based data-driven instructional improvement platforms. Responsible for technology used to create and maintain the most effective, affordable technology solutions for K-12 schools looking to improve student performance through the use of real-time data. The software solution includes assessment creation, delivery, scoring, and reporting. In addition to creating solutions for school districts the the company has partnered with major school publishers to build and deploy customized solutions that leverage the existing LinkIt! technologies. This approach reduces costs and risk levels associated with large enterprise-scale technology development. Prior to joining LinkIt, Chief Administrative Officer for Aladdin & Technology, a division of BlackRock overseeing day-to-day business and planning processes including vendor management and project management as well as coordinating Human Resources and Finance activities. Prior to this role, headed up BlackRock’s Corporate Systems and Corporate MIS team. At BlackRock, was also a key member of the senior technology team delegated to integrating the technology infrastructures resulting from two multi-billion acquisitions (Merrill Lynch Asset Management and Barclays Global Investors). Prior to joining BlackRock in 2006, spent sixteen years with Bear Stearns as Managing Director Principal and Chief Development Officer for Corporate Systems. From 1980 to 1990, was an adjunct professor in Computer Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Earned a BA degree in Mathematics from New York University and an MS in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1980.
